Description
We greet our guests in our characteristic home in the very heart of the Périgord Noir. Ideal for a relaxing vacation while surrounded by nature. Where you may enjoy a magnificent view over the Valley of the Dordogne. Saint-Cyprien is only 3km away and in the vicinities you may visit numerous historical sites and practice various open door activities. Truly ideal for families with children.
The house has a main building with two large rooms, a smaller one for children. In the garden, a double room and a bathroom have been obtained in what used to be the bird-loft. Dish washer, washing machine, television, Hi fi, barbeque, living area in the garden, microwave oven and linens are all available at the house.

Surroundings
The house overhangs the Saint-Cyprien (lovely town of the Périgord Noir) plain. The boundless view of the valley of the Dordogne from the house's terrace is truly breathtaking. In the immediate vicinities you will be seduced by the many renowned touristic sites, among which: the medieval city of Sarlat, the Lascaux cave, the Prourmeyssac abyss, the troglodyte villages of the Eyzies, the castles of the Dordogne Valley (Beynac, Castelnaud, Les Milandes...), the Roque-Gageac, Domme, the fortified cities of Monpazier, Beaumont du Périgord. The river of the Dordogne is greatly appreciated by those who enjoy canoeing but it is nonetheless ideal for relaxation along its shores. You may otherwise choose to go on a guided tour in "gabarre", a typical local boat. For a truly relaxing day you may likewise choose to go to the Bos ponds, they will truly enchant both adults and children.
ActivitiesWalks in the woods inside our property. Well indicated routes for excursions in the municipality of Saint-Cyprien and surroundings. Bicycle rides, horse back rides, canoeing on the Dordogne, hot air ballooning, paragliding, amusement park and games.... Tourisms for all different tastes, beautiful places to visit, such as the medieval city of Sarlat, the prehistoric capital of Les Eyzies, the Beynac castle, the terrifying Proumeyssac, the aquarious of Bugue, etc..

Food, wine and craftsYou will find, in the market places of the towns of Périgord, all sorts of genuine local products, produced directly by the surrounding farms (fois gras, marmelades, cheese, local wines, fruits and vegetables). The market of Saint-Cyprien is particularly renowned and is held every Sunday morning. The area also has numerous restaurants and agritourisms, otherwise you may visit the markets for "gourmands" (the program is always available at the Office of Tourism). |
