Description
Our stone house, on the highlands of Greffeil, is in the midst of peace and tranquility. Above the house, on a shadowed terrace overlooking the historical bell-tower, you will find a kitchen at your disposal so that you may prepare your picnics (barbeque, sink, fridge and electric hotplates). Higher up there is the garden's highest terrace where you may enjoy the swimming pool and its boundless view of the town.
The house has three rooms, all with air-conditioning. "Nefertiti" is for families and has two beds for children on a low mezzanine. Each rooms name is paralleled by a stone sculpture of the same subject inside. These have all been sculpted by Jean Michel, the owner who will greet you warmly.

Surroundings
Our structure is in the western Corbières, also known as green Corbières, 23 km from Limoux. The region has a rich medieval history as testified by the famous Catari castles and Abbeys: Saint-Hilaire, Saint-Polycarpe, Lagrasse and Pieunette only a one hour and a half walk away.
30 minutes from Greffeil Carcassone where, in July, the homonymous renowned festivity is held. On such occasion, many activities are organized (theater, dance, opera) in the open of the city's amphitheater.
ActivitiesMany signaled walks and excursions are possible in the immediate surroundings of the town. There are likewise different routes for off-road vehicles or for cycling in the nearby hills. You may swim in the clear and clean waters of the river or in the swimming pool in our garden's highest terrace. You may visit the vineyards and wineries of the important local wines among which the famous white Limoux. You may visit the Cathare castles and abbeys or simply enjoy complete relaxation. |
Food, wine and craftsAn abundant breakfast is served (coffee, tea or chocolate, fruit juices, yoghurt, fresh bread, toast, cakes, home made marmalades and fruit). It is included in the price. |
