Description
In the heart of the Layon vineyards, on the outskirts of the town of Tigné, we house our guests in a 16th century manor built with eternal materials: stone, wood, slate...
Vineyards, trees and, in the distance, a small chapel: extremely peaceful surroundings and a generalized sensation of well-being. It is a convivial place with a touch of modernity and with the natural tones of ocher and honey which respect the original authenticity of the structure. Stone chimneys, wooden rafters, terracotta tiled floors. The rooms are spacious and they open onto the countryside: utter peacefulness and comfort.
You may choose one of four different rooms:
"Yasmine" - of Moroccan inspiration;
"Jardin d'Anais" - in which you may appreciate Provencal smells;
The "Bastide d'Héloise" with linens And sheeny furnishings;
"Havre d'Edgard" refined and stylized.
All rooms have a private bathroom.

Surroundings
The castle is in the valley of the Loire, approximately 15km from the Brissac castle and 30 km from Saumur and its famous castle and horseback riding school (Cadre Noir). It is approximately 34 km from Angers (famous its down town, the tapisserie de l'Apocalypse and the castle), 40 km from the Fontevraud abbey, 12 km from the Doué-la -Fontaine (the zoo, the troglodyte sites, the day of the Rose), 34 km from the oriental Maulévrier park and only one hour by motorway from Puy-du-Fou.
We are along the itinerary of the castles of the Loire: Anger, Sumur, Brezé, Montreuil-Bellay..., one hour avway from the Villandry gardens, the Chignon castles, Langeais and Azay-le-Rideau and two hours away from Chenoceau and Amboise.
ActivitiesTotal relaxation in the terrace and the garden. Walks along the routes in the vineyards either on foot or on bicycle. In the surroundings many excursions are possible both on foot, by horse or with off-road vehicles. |
Food, wine and craftsOn request table d'hôtes (30€/person): we serve exclusively local wines (côteaux du Layon, Bonnezeaux, Anjou red and white, Loire rosé). In the vicinities there are numerous restaurants. |
