Description
At 800m.a.s.l. On Arras en Lavedan hills, very near to Argelès-Gazost spa, our ancient farm restored with taste and elegance, offers one of the most beautiful panoramas of the valley.
The orientation is an ideal one, with bio-climatic heating using sun and geothermal devices.
The furnishing of the rooms is high quality, with soft colours; in some of the bathrooms there is an angular tub and shower as well. The hall is endowed with a corner to make and taste herb teas, benches, library, stove-fire place and is a meeting point in the house. The table d'hotes is proposed on thick elm wood tables and wrought iron in the dining room which, decked with a beautiful fire place, can accommodate up to 20 people.

Surroundings
We are very near to Azun Valley. This one is the union of three valleys: the one of Azun stream, containing small beautiful villages whose architectural heritage is wholly untouched; the Estaing valley, with its lake, and the one of Ouzoum, oriented toward Atlantic Pyrenees mounts and more dedicated to sheep farming.
Mills,churches or chapels, fauna parks on Marmot hill or at Eagle Tower, chicken breeding are other treasures to discover. If you wish it is possible to visit cheese, honey, jams producers and other craftsmen in the area.
ActivitiesFeel like moving? Here you can do everything.... Promenades and trakking, by foot or with rackets, cross country ski, paragliding in two with the teacher which is also your host. Trips donkey riding starting from the house. I you are tempted by biking you can attempt the hills of Soulor and of Albisque or of the famous Tourmalet. Or else get down by SUV from Pic de Pan or of Bordères or of Pic du Midi d'Arrens hills. |
Food, wine and craftsOur table d'hotes is familiar and regional, made of typical products of the place as garbure (a dish with pork and vegetables) grilled Barèges- Gavarnie mutton, cheese produced in farms of Azun Valley, home made cakes and crème caramel. French breakfast is served with home made jams. |
